Wonder how much it will cost to "pasang sendiri " to meet the requirement of pixinsight

1. Minimum recommended

2. Recommended performance

This is the best that I can do....

1. Minimum Recommended

RAM
-KINGSTON 4GB KVR1333 DDR3 RAM
RM55.00

Processor
-INTEL CORE I3-2120 PROCESSOR LGA1155 (3.3GHz)
RM363.00

Hard-Disk
-SEAGATE BARRACUDA 500GB 16M SATA-6
RM202.00

Monitor
-PHILIPS 18.5in W196V3LSB2 LED LCD
RM269.00

Total: RM889.00 (not included other parts eg. GPU,Motherboard,OS and others)

----------------------------------------
2. Recommended Performance

RAM
-KINGSTON 4GB KVR1333 DDR3 RAM
RM55.00x4=RM220  --------->(16GB of ram, you will required 64bit instruction OS)

Processor
-INTEL CORE I7-3770 PROCESSOR LGA1155 (3.4GHz - Pixinsight Recommended is around 3.47GHZ)
RM933.00

Hard-Disk
-SEAGATE BARRACUDA 500GB 16M SATA-6
RM202.00

Monitor
-SAMSUNG 24in S24B350H LED LCD MONITOR
RM675.00

Total: RM2030.00 (not included other parts eg. GPU,Motherboard,OS and others)
-------------------------------------------------------

3rd option.....Meet it in the middle (what I would do)

RAM
-KINGSTON 4GB KVR1333 DDR3 RAM
RM55.00x2=RM110 (8GB of ram......64bit Os required)

Processor
-INTEL CORE I5-3570 PROCESSOR LGA1155
RM652

Hard-Disk
-WD SCORPIO BLUE NB 500GB 8M SATA
RM195.00

Monitor
-PHILIPS 18.5in W196V3LSB2 LED LCD
RM269.00

Total: RM1226.00 (not included other parts eg. GPU,Motherboard,OS and others)

Semua barang2 yg list di atas, boleh dirujuk di sini http://www.pcdepot.com.my. It is better if you explore it yourself because you know better on things that you want.  Ada banyak lagi tempat yang mungkin boleh offer lagi murah selain dari PCdepot, so it is recommended to check around and find alternatives......Pasang sendiri memang agak leceh sedikit, kena banyak research.

Harap pertolongang yang sangat kecil dari saya ni, membantu....Kalau ada silap salah, harap maaf.

Tenkiu.

I went to see my friend's set up. Wow the Dell's 30 inch display is gorgeous!

Cheers

It always is. One of the benchmark for displays. Or you might be tempted to see Apple's 32 inch screen? Then you'd think again... :-D

The  Eizo is reputedly the best monitor generally available followed by NEC.

The Eizos are expensive - a 30 inch Eizo will set you back by at least RM17k, a 30 inch NEC goes for approx half the price at around RM8k and a Dell 30 inch goes for around RM3k.

The picture quality varies to price but is on a scale of diminishing returns .

For those with weak eyes get at least  a 27 inch IPS  screen monitor instead of the cheaper TN panels.

I always wonder how much more gory Conan the Barbarian HD Blue Ray whould be on the Eizo 30 inch monitor.

Cheers
